Primary PE and Sport Funding

At Winsford High Street Primary School the PE and Sport Premium is used to improve the quality of physical education, physical activity, and sport across the school.

The PE and Sport Premium must be used to:

• Support all children and young people to live healthy, active lives

• Make participation in PE and school sport easier

• Make sure all children can achieve and thrive through increased physical activity and sport, no matter their background or ability

• Improve children’s health, wellbeing, personal development and academic attainment

• Embed the foundations of positive and enjoyable participation in regular physical activity.

We aim to achieve the above aims by investing in areas such as specialist coaching, staff training, purchasing if equipment, enhancing extracurricular sports clubs, and increasing opportunities for competitive sport.

Ultimately, our aims areare to encourage all pupils to lead active, healthy lifestyles, develop sonfidence and physical literacy, and ensure that improvements made have a lasting impact on our pupils, fostering a love of physical activity, PE and sport.
