Physical Education

We aim to provide enjoyable activities that promote the development of skills and co-ordination within a friendly, relaxed, supporting environment. Teamwork and participation is encouraged as is competition in a way that supports the development of British Values. The children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of sports, including dance, gymnastics, swimming, athletics, games and outdoor pursuits.

The school has received additional funding to enrich our sport provision this academic year from the government. We have used this funding to join the Vale Royal Sports Partnership. This enables us to participate in sports with other schools locally, providing the children with the opportunity to participate in and progress in National competitions. In addition, the funding also facilitates staff training where a local sports coach visits the school to work with teachers on sports techniques. This has enabled us to enrich our existing sports provision. We have recently been awarded the Sainsbury’s Bronze School Games Mark for our commitment to sport and are progressing well towards the Silver Award.
