Curriculum Overview Years 1 - 6
Summer Term
During the summer term the whole school is taking part in a zoo project in partnership with Chester Zoo. The focus of the project is to raise awareness of conservation issues both locally and globally and to realise what we can do as a community to support these issues. The following conservation issues will be taken on by the following year groups:
EYFS and Key Stage 1 - Local Wildlife Connections
Nursery - Wild flowers and mini-beasts
Reception - Bees
Year 1 - Birds
Year 2 - Small Mammals
Lower Key Stage 2 (Years 3 and 4) - Endangered Animals and the Illegal Wildlife Trade
Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6) - Palm Oil
