The school places great emphasis upon providing a wide range of opportunities for pupils to be involved in The Arts. We are fortunate to employ a specialist teacher for music and art and have been able to source additional artists to work alongside staff in the school to further promote the visual arts, drama, dance and movement.

The children are introduced to a variety of different materials and techniques to stimulate and develop their artistic appreciation and creative abilities. They are encouraged to express their ideas in original and creative practical work, often integrated with other areas of the curriculum. During their studies the children develop an understanding of the techniques used by famous artists and of some pieces of significant artwork.
